The problem is that the special weapons you get for the hunters are pretty rubish for everything else, espcialy when you have access to the chosen gear. It works ok ish with wotc in that the chosen recognise the alien hunter weapons and comment on them. The cosmetics are produced to a very high standard.
#Xcom 2 dlc free
You get 1 free from the mission and I expect most players never bothered building more than 1 more.Īlien hunters - This is basicaly a beta version of the chosen tbh.
#Xcom 2 dlc mod
There is a very good mod that makes sparks MUCH better, but again it requires tonnes of resources and there are better things to spend these on than the 2-3 sparks you might have. Those resources would be better spent on recruiting more squadies. They also cost alot of resources to upgrade.

They have low stats and cannot compete with squadies for versatility or damage output.
#Xcom 2 dlc mods
Shens last gift - Sparks, a very good narrative mission with a great story line, but without mods sparks are pretty much useless for most of the game. Your asking a question thats been asked a million times allready, if you cant make your own mind up then tbh just dont bother buying them. Have they changed this? It's so lame and a waste if they didn't. Once you get better armors you won't be able to reskin them with these. You can make people go into the fight with t-shirts and bikinis. Anarchy's children and Resistance warrior pack: These are just cosmetic dlcs so there's not a whole to say. So I will probably never play the game again because fo this ♥♥♥♥ing dlc. I can't be arsed to restart the campaing and the game is unplayable with theese aliens in it. And most anoying thing is the overpowered aliens appear in missions even if you select the dlc NOT to be active when you start a campaign. This is just hard for the sake of being hard.Įxtremely boring and unfair dlc. The enemy ruler class are overpowered to the extent that it just isn't fun-namely their ability to move on every action you do. XCom2 is supposed to be hard, but "fair." Alien Hunters does not follow that. Have you ever played a game with a unremovable DLC so bad that it actually straight up makes you uninstall the game? Xcom 2 with Alien hunters is just that. Wotc is definitely more challenging and difficult than vanilla, but you're given the tools to overcome this, so it's completely fair and reasonable. The alien rulers add more difficulty while afaik not giving the player any sort of meaningful advantage to deal with them. Alien hunters: According to the steam reviews this dlc is just cancer.

Can you change my mind or name a few reasons to use one of these over normal soldiers? Never been a fan of the MECs in EW either. Shen's last gift: I read a few days ago that the spark are weak compared to soldiers and not even worth getting. Q: As a follow up, if you opt to turn off the Integrated DLC option does that not keep the balances made to the enemy units/sparks?Ī: No, the balance changes will always be there.I really want to get some more content and support firaxis, but the dlcs seem so bad.

Having three huge, lengthy missions back-to-back would be really draining for new players, so that was one of the reasons we turned them off for the default experience. You can still play both of the DLC story missions if you turn off that integration! Both the Alien Nest and the Lost Towers mission happen very early in the campaign, and we wanted to add another big narrative mission for WotC (Lost and Abandoned). What was the rationale behind that? They are such a blast to play through.Ī: War of the Chosen doesn't remove the missions, but it does disable them if you use our "Integrated DLC" option to balance the DLC content (particularly how the Alien Rulers work) with the new expansion features. Q: From what I understand integrating the previous two DLCs with the expansion removes the two story missions. This is from the AMA Firaxis recently did: Something must be up with your game because they aren't suppose to appear randomly no matter what option you choose. Check integrate: the story mission is disabled, and the Rulers are moved to ADVENT facilities (I've seen this in a Let's Play).Uncheck integrate: you get the story mission on the Geoscape, and the Rulers don't appear until you do the mission (this is what I did, and what is happening in my game). My personal experience and the devs themselves says otherwise.
